The Entertainment Quarter (EQ) is the perfect place for a family day out. With a host of fun entertainment and leisure activities, restaurants and markets all in one spot, it has so much to offer. Here are our favourite suggestions for things to do that the whole family will love.

Grab a bite

With 18 cafes and restaurants offering everything from burgers to schnitzels, Spanish to Indian, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining at the Entertainment Quarter. Share some tapas at Mojo Picon, taste a flavoursome curry at Masala Kitchen, or settle in for an Italian feast at Fratelli Fresh.

Sing some karaoke

Whether you’re inspired by the Jacksons or the Von Trapps, get the family together to belt out some tunes in a private karaoke room at Strike. There’s an array of fun props to take your performances to the next level and drink service to your room.

Wander through 'The Market'

EQ’s produce and flower markets are easily one of the best markets in Sydney.  Enjoy a coffee and some delicious cooked food while listening to live music, pick up some seasonal organic produce direct from the farmers who grew it, shop for crafts and clothing, and grab some beautiful flowers to take home. It’s all under one roof under The Market Canopy every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am – 2pm.

Play laser tag

Settle family squabbles in the EQ’s million-dollar laser tag arena at Strike. Each state-of-the-art arena is individually themed and decked out with amazing props, easy-to-use weapons and a soundtrack to set the scene.

See a movie

The Entertainment Quarter is home to a state-of-the-art Hoyts cinema complex, so why not see a movie. With 80+ screenings and over 25 different movies daily there’s sure to be something the whole family will enjoy.

Go bowling

Strike EQ is no ordinary bowling alley. With 12 tenpin bowling lanes, a sweet sound system and a newly decked out bar and gourmet kitchen that services straight to your lane it’s the perfect activity for the whole family.

Treat everyone to dessert

Pull up a beanbag in the sun at the acclaimed Blackstar Pastry, and try one of their famous handmade Strawberry Watermelon Cakes. It’s the most photographed cake in Australia and tastes as good as it looks.

Getting there

Parking at the Entertainment Quarter is easy. There are over 2000 spaces in the Wilsons Car Park located off Errol Flynn Blvd and the first two hours are free. There’s also an onsite taxi rank, and it’s easy to reach by public transport.
