Autumn School Holidays

The weather is getting cooler, leaves are starting to turn colour, and the animals are preparing for the colder seasons. Autumn is the perfect season to swap screen time for green time, so get the kids back outside and into nature at Centennial Parklands! Our education experts have developed a diverse range of School Holiday Programs that are fun, nature-connected and have a splash of education for children aged up to 12 years.

Led by our skilled and knowledgeable Education Rangers, children will be able to explore and discover the marvellous natural environment in the heart of Centennial Park and enjoy unique and accessible outdoor learning experiences.

There’s something to capture the imagination and creativity of every child, from Autumn actvities through map mappers with a focus on STEM to outdoor theatre fun with the Alice in Wonderpark. Check out our schedule below and prepare your kids for thrilling outdoor adventures these summer school holidays.

Our programs are very popular so book early to not miss out. If you missed out on your favourite program this season, make sure to sign up to our School Holiday newsletter to be the first informed when bookings are open for the next school holidays.

Easter weekend program

Satruday 8 April & Sunday 9 April

This long weekend, we invite families to celebrate Australia's native plants and animals in this fun-filled and educational program for kids aged between 4 and 10 years. Together with parents, children will be introduced to our local flora and fauna through stories, nature based games, and art projects.

Together with our experienced education team, children will roam through the park, follow trail maps, meet some of our wild inhabitants and connect with the natural world.

This 1-hour program will open your kids’ eyes to the beautiful outdoors.

Please note: This is not a traditional chocolate egg hunt. Hiding chocolate eggs in the park has an environmental impact on our flora and fauna. Each kid will receive a small chocolate treat for participating.

Tickets include:

Hear how the turtle found her lost egg and discover what you can do to protect our freshwater turtles.

Help our Aussie egg-laying animals find their missing eggs. Follow the animal tracks and match the right egg with the animal.

Work together to sneakily save the eggs from being lunch before Goanna sees you!

Design your own Aussie animals with clay and loose parts!
