Shared cycleways

Centennial Parklands has opened a range of shared cycleways to provide safe and accessible links into the surrounding regional cycling networks.

Two of the most popular cycle routes in the Parklands are the Queens Park Cycleway and the Cleveland Street Cycleway in Moore Park.

Please remember that these pathways are shared with pedestrians.

Grand Drive cycle lane

Centennial Park's Grand Drive incorporates a 3.8 kilometre dedicated cycle lane. It is ideal for riders at all levels of experience. The cycle lane will allow you to safely circuit Centennial Park and access all of the main entry and exit points.

Centennial Park Learners Cycleway

Many generations of children have learnt to ride their first bike at Centennial Park’s Learners Cycleway.

The Learners Cycleway is a one-way track of surfaced, loop roadway offering children of all ages ample room to ride their bikes in complete safety.

The Learners Cycleway precinct also features an amenities block, barbecue and children's playground, making this one of the most family-friendly spots in the Parklands.

Please remember, all children must wear a cycle helmet on the Learners Cycleway, and parents must not park in the Grand Drive cycle lane to drop their children and bikes off.

Centennial Park bike hire

Don't let not having a bike stop you from enjoying a ride in the Park. Centennial Park Cycles operates seven days a week and is located just off Grand Drive if you'd like to hire a bike.

We encourage the safe and courteous use of Grand Drive's cycle lane at all times. Please observe the 30 km/h speed limit and riding in packs above 16 is not permitted. It is also NSW law that cyclists must remain in a dedicated cycle lane if one is provided.
