Electric Gardens returns to Brazillian Fields at Centennial Parklands on 26 January 2019 from 2 pm with over 15,000 people expected to attend.
Sound checks and rehearsals will be carried out between 4.00 pm until 5.00 pm on Friday 25 January and 12.00 noon until 1.00 pm on Saturday 26 January.
An event hotline will operate during the sound checks and rehearsals, and during the event from 2.00 pm until 10.30 pm. The hotline phone number is (02) 9339 6616.
On event day there will be traffic changes and road closures inside Centennial Park to manage both pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the precinct. Closures will be in place on the following internal roads:
Parkes Drive: closed ALL DAY from Paddington Gates to Dickens Drive.
Hamilton Drive: closed ALL DAY
Dickens Drive: closed ALL DAY east of Parkes Drive to Grand Drive
Loch Avenue South: closed from 21 January to 30 January between Dickens Drive and Grand Drive
Jervois Avenue: Closed from 4.00 pm 25 January and ALL DAY on 26 January
There will also be the following temporary external road closures in place to safely facilitate patron egress from Centennial Park between 9.00 pm and 11.00 pm:
Moore Park Road will be closed at Oxford Street
NSW Police Contingency: Moore Park Road will be closed from Oxford Street to Oatley Road.
Managed access for residents.
Centennial Park vehicle gate changes and closures:
Bump in will take place from Monday 21 January, and bump out will conclude on Wednesday 30 January 2019.
Please consider your activities on Saturday 26 January and plan for vehicle access restrictions and/or delays.
Cycle Lane: Open until 6.00 pm. Expect congestion between Parkes Drive and Loch Avenue on event day as large crowds cross into Parade Grounds towards the event entry point.
Horse Track: The horse track will be closed from the corner of Parkes and Grand Drive (Café Corner) to Loch Ave from Friday 25 January until Tuesday 29 January. In addition, Centennial Parklands will be closed to all equestrian use from 11.00 am on the day of the event.
Jogging Track: Open – expect congestion on the track between Parkes Drive and Loch Avenue on event day as large crowds cross into Parade Grounds towards the event entry point.
Parking restrictions within the Parklands:
• NO PARKING on Grand Drive between Robertson Road Gates and Loch Ave
• NO PARKING on Jervois Avenue, 25 and 26 January
• NO PARKING on road closures (see above details of road closures)
• Taxi drop off zone will be located on Grand Drive east of Parkes Drive.
• Taxi pick up is external to Centennial Parklands.
