Major event days - temporary parking

The Moore Park Masterplan will see the progressive removal of on-grass parking at Moore Park. The Kippax Lake area has proved to be an extremely important green public space for people during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Trust is working with stakeholders to progressively implement the removal of on-grass parking in a staged manner.

At peak times, the Moore Park precinct can attract more than 80,000 patrons at one time, so for the benefit of patrons, neighbours and the surrounding road network, temporary event day parking on-grass is sometimes facilitated to alleviate parking pressure in surrounding streets.

Public Transport remains the easiest way to travel to events in Moore Park. The precinct is now serviced by Moore Park Light Rail Station on the L2 & L3 lines. The major event Bus terminal may also provide additional services to events in Moore Park, and Moore Park is now an easy walk from Central, via Devonshire Street and the Tibby Cotter Bridge.

Public transport is sometimes included in your event ticket. To find out more, about integrated ticketing and event day services to Moore Park, please visit the Transport for NSW Moore Park site here.

Event Day parking is $30 per vehicle and parking remains limited.

Contactless payment will only be accepted by credit and debit cards on arrival.

  • Showgrounds Field – Corner of Lang Road and Driver Avenue.  Enter via Driver Avenue from Lang Road.

  • Moore Park Golf – Enter via Cleveland Street.

  • Kippax Lake area – northern end of Driver Avenue. Enter via Driver Avenue from Moore Park Road.

The temporary parking arrangements are on Showground Field, which is adjacent to the Moore Park Light Rail stop, the
