Sleep Out 2022 - FAQs

Sleep Out is a charity fundraising event taking place overnight from Thursday 10 November to Friday 11 November 2022.

The event that sees participants sleep overnight in Loch Avenue South, raising money for the Property Industry Foundation. At the heart of the Property Industry Foundation is the PIF House Program. This is a house-building program that increases the availability of bedrooms in secure homes for homeless youth to rebuild their lives.
 
The event will commence at approximately 5.30pm for registrations, with the event running from approximately 6.30pm until 6.30am.

The Sleep Out event site will be located on Loch Avenue South. The event site will be closed to the public for safety reasons from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 November 2022.  
Yes, pedestrian access to Centennial Park will be maintained at all times. All vehicle gates will be open and will close as per normal operations on the day.

Centennial Park will remain open for all park visitors. All vehicle gates will remain open as per normal operations. There are no road closures for the event and regular public parking available. Parking may however be limited near Loch Avenue South. 

There will be no restrictions to equestrian users related to this event. 

Cyclists and roller bladers will be able to access all open roads. 

Yes, Centennial Homestead will be open as per usual. 
There will be local sound only. We are committed to complying with all legislation and guidelines covering amplified sound levels at outdoor events.
