Spotlight Prowl

Centennial Parklands is home to a variety of nocturnal creatures, from Brush-tailed Possums, Microbats and Tawny Frogmouths to one of Sydney’s largest colonies of Grey-headed Flying-fox. Join a Parklands Ranger for a fascinating and surprising spotlight walk to see how the park transforms when the sun goes down.


General Information

Age: Adults or families welcome with children aged 5+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Start times: 7.00 pm for 1 hour
Meeting Point: Robertson Road Gates
Price: $20 per person plus booking fee

  • Cancellation policy: Once tickets are purchased no refunds, exchange or credits will be given, unless the event is cancelled by the Parklands due to dangerous conditions.

Special notes

  • Please book early to avoid disappointment.
  • All attendees must have their own ticket. Bring a torch, enclosed shoes and a rain jacket in case of wet weather.
  • Please be punctual to ensure you join the group. Program will run for approximately 90 minutes.
  • This program will not feature an up close encounter with a captive flying-fox.
  • This event goes ahead in wet weather, so please come prepared with wet weather gear. Tours are cancelled if inclement weather is dangerous i.e. high winds and lightening. An email informing of cancellation will be sent to email supplied at time of booking at least 1.5 hours before event starts
