Taste of Bush School

Want to see what Bush School is about? Come to our special session and check it out, by joining our rangers for a morning of fun in our mud kitchen.

Climb trees, build cubbies, explore the great outdoors, make mud pies, and discover strange bugs. (Re)connect children to nature and experience all of its benefits. Led by our expert team of education rangers, Bush School inspires love for the natural world through games, bushcraft activities, stories and more

Learn more about the importance of children’s nature play by watching our video.

Bush School is an outdoor program and will take place in all-weather except for high winds. It is recommended children wear old clothes and gumboots. A spare change of clothes is advised. Participants (adults and children) are expected to dress for the outdoors, including bringing wet weather gear, a hat, sturdy enclosed shoes and waterproof footwear when required.

Our Bush School is a uniquely Australian program based on international best practice in Nature Pedagogy. It is a child-led nature play program which uses a nature connection mentoring approach to foster natural curiosity.
