Special visitors to E.S. Marks Athletics Field…with an offer for you!

E.S. Marks Athletics Field in Moore Park has been the scene of many memorable athletics experiences for over a century – this week was another moment…but we’re not sure whether it will be too memorable!

This week we welcomed the Nova 96.9 DJs, Fitzy and Wippa to E.S. Marks Athletics Field. Wippa is training for the City2Surf race, and was being tutored by Australian Olympic hurdler, Michelle Jenneke. Michelle won a silver medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, and also shot to ‘viral’ fame for her warm up routine!

Here are some photos to enjoy…

Hurdling away…

It’s “effectiveness” over “style and elegance” it seems!

Can you do better?

Think you can do better? E.S. Marks Athletics Field has a new synthetic running track that has been internationally certified. We’re open for public training throughout the week.

And the good news!

Due to popular demand, we have recently opened the facility for a fourth night of public training! We have added Monday night’s to the schedule, so we are now open for public training:

  • 3.30pm to 8.30pm, Monday to Thursday

The entry fee is just $5.50 adults, $4 children (16 and under). Being an international running track just minutes from the CBD makes this one of the best public training facilities in Sydney!

Come play…at E.S. Marks Athletic Field!
