The Centennial Park Orienteering Course is Sydney’s first public permanent orienteering course – however the sport has been operating in Centennial Parklands for over 40 years!
Orienteering is an outdoor adventure sport that involves finding your way across a park, bush or suburban areas using a detailed map to locate a number of checkpoints.
Anyone can participate in orienteering as it is well suited to people of all ages and experience levels, and you can choose your own course and complete it at your own pace.
The Centennial Park Orienteering Course is a fun, yet challenging route, and use of the course is open to the public, schools, orienteering teams and corporate groups.
Orienteering course kits are available to purchase for $6 from the Centennial Parklands office and Visitor Information Counter located on Banksia Way in Centennial Park.
