Like all great parks in the world, Centennial Parklands has rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. The rules also help us protect the Parklands’ plant and animal life.

Park rangers enforce the rules under State law. If you ignore or break them, you could be fined. Please obey Centennial Parklands rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, and protection of the heritage and environment of the Parklands.

Code of Conduct

For all stablers and/or owners of horses at the Equestrian Centre, please read the Code of Conduct (PDF, 1.7 MB).

Regulations about access, vehicles and parking

  • Access to the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre is shared by all Participants.
  • Pedestrians and horses have right of way at the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre.
  • Visitors must not ride or lead a horse into the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre through the vehicle entrance.
  • Visitors must not park a vehicle (including horse floats) within the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre in contravention of any sign.
  • Visitors must not park or leave a vehicle parked within the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre after closing time except with the written permission of the Centre Manager.
  • The Trust is entitled to require payment of a fee determined by it, but not exceeding $100, for the opening of a gate outside of Trading Hours to permit the removal of a vehicle from the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre.
  • Visitors must not drive a motor vehicle within the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre contrary to any sign.
  • Visitors must not park in a designated “Licensee Parking Only” or "Reserved" zone on any day, unless displaying a licensee parking permit.
  • Washing of horse floats is prohibited at the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre and on Trust land.

Regulations about domestic pets

Visitors to the Equestrian Centre will not allow any dog, cat or any domestic or exotic animal which is not a horse or pony to be brought onto or kept on the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre or Equestrian Grounds.

Visitors will not tether a dog to the fence of the Equestrian Grounds.

Regulations about smoking in the Equestrian Centre

Visitors must acknowledge that the Equestrian Centre is a smoke-free workplace under the Smoke Free Environment Act 2000 (NSW). It is an offence for visitors and workers to smoke in or around the Equestrian Centre.
