Restoration and conservation works will be undertaken at Federation Pavilion, Federation Valley in Centennial Parklands from Wednesday 11 November to late January 2021. Multiple elements of the building, which is a symbolic structure to commemorate the creation of Australia, are in poor condition and require remediation (e.g. rusted steel, failed mastic, concrete cancer etc.)
These works will involve, but are not limited to:
- Site establishment and temporary security fencing
- Remove, repair and reinstall stainless-steel cladding and reflector
- Remove and replace failed mastic
- Repair concrete cancer
- Cleaning
