Make your own play dough at home or at school with just a few simple, kitchen utensils and ingredients.
Mix the flour and salt together in a large bowl.
Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and pour in the oil.
Add a few drops of food colouring to the 1/2 cup warm water and mix to combine. This step is optional.
Add the warm water to the flour and oil and slowly mix with a spoon to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a flat surface and knead until the mixture is smooth and has the consistency of dough. If the mixture is too dry, add more water. If the mixture is too sticky, add more flour.
Play!
Store your play dough in zip-top bag in the fridge and take it out whenever you want to play. It should last about three months and then it’s time to make some more!
