This Geography excursion aims to give students an opportunity to visit and explore one of Sydney’s most loved green spaces.

Children will be able to gain an understanding of Centennial Park's history and wildlife through a variety of hands-on activities.

Centennial Park: A Special Place activities:

  • Build a park activity (mud-mapping)
  • Shelter building
  • Swamp walks and nature games.

  • GEe-1 identifies places and develops an understanding of the important places to people
  • GEe-2 communicates geographical information and uses geographical tools.
