Early years bush connections

Centennial Parklands and the Sydney Institute of TAFE have partnered to deliver Early Years Bush Connections.

The Early Years Bush Connections course is aimed primarily at early childhood educators and childrens' services professionals looking to gain practical skills in nature pedagogy, which can also be known as Forest School or Bush Kinder.

About this course

The Early Years Bush Connections short course has been designed for employees in Childcare and/or Children's Services and any individual interested in teaching preschool children about the Australian Bush. 

The course is based on research and concepts from international best practice in nature education as well as current education models such as Forest Schools and Nature Kindergartens.

The course is delivered over three days, with two days outside in the Parklands' bush classroom. Delivered by some of the industry’s leading experts, this learning experience has been described as transformative and life-changing.

The Early Years Bush Connection program is NESA-endorsed and the course code is NESA3001V01, participants receive a Statement of Attainment.

The Early Years Bush Connection course was the recipient of a 2013 Green Gown award.
