With beautiful trees, waterfront bay views and rich historical roots, Callan Park provides the perfect setting for nature play experiences for children and families of the Inner West!
During the Easter school holidays in 2022, Nature Play returned to Callan Park, at a new location. The FREE pop-up play space, located near the NSW Writers' Centre and delivered by Greater Sydney Parklands’ expert educators, used renewable resource material to stimulate play and connection to the natural world.
Opened: from Saturday 17 December 2022 to 30 January 2023
Location: corner of Supply Road and South Crescent, Callan Park

Being outdoors gives children the opportunity to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace – creating a special connection to their surroundings.
Whether it’s building a cubby house, climbing a tree, following animal tracks, or creating a work of art out of leaves and sticks - Nature Play ensures children and their caregivers have ample opportunities to connect to the unique heritage and ecology of the Australian landscape and to who they are inside, together.
Taking community feedback onboard, join our passionate nature educators who will be onsite every Wednesday during the school holidays for their FREE activity sessions and story time from 10am-2:30pm. No bookings required.
