Centennial Parklands' Arborists will undertake tree maintenance works in the entry of the E.S. Marks Athletics Field facility from Wednesday 5 August 2020.
Works will involve the removal of the invasive African Olive and Chinese Hackberry weed species, smaller woody shrubs and a mixture of other noxious weeds.
Other formative pruning and lifting of branches in line with the Parklands’ annual Tree Maintenance Program will also take place to the large figs in the entryway to improve the line of sight and safety for patrons. The area will be planted out in the warmer months to revegetate the area.
Works may take up to three days to complete, and there will be some noise associated with the tree works between the hours of 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
The worksite will be closed to public access for safety reasons.
If you encounter any issues from these works, please call the 24-hour Rangers phone on 0412 718 611.
