The
TCS Sydney Marathon takes place across a 42km route, which includes Centennial Park and Moore Park.
*Please note: Vehicles left overnight in Centennial Park may be towed
Gate closures
All Centennial Park gates will be closed from 5am until approximately 3pm. Closure applies to vehicles, cyclists, rollerbladers, e-scooters, and equestrian users.
Pedestrians are welcome at any time and can cheer the marathon participants along the route or at the designated live site on Driver Avenue beside the Sydney Swan Centre of Excellence.
Cyclists: The meeting point for cyclists is outside Randwick Gates in Darley Road. No entry to Centennial Park until 3pm.
Equestrian access: Equestrian access to Centennial Park will also be closed until 3pm. Access to the Moore Park Equestrian Centre until 3pm is via Cook Road or the eastern end of Lang Road only.
Road closures
All roads in Centennial Parklands are special event clearways and will be closed until approximately 3pm. Vehicles left overnight may be towed.
Driver Avenue and Anzac Parade in Moore Park will be closed from 5am until 3pm.
External road closures
Extensive road closures and special event clearways will be in place across the Sydney CBD (from North Sydney to Kingsford) for this event.
Specific road closures will be in place around Centennial Park and Moore Park please refer to the access map.
Notes:
Residents in Robertson Rd, Martin Rd, Oxley Ln and Dibbs St will not be able to enter/exit during course lockdown (5am – 3pm). If you require vehicle access during road closures, please park at the Entertainment Quarter. There will be managed access in and out of the Entertainment Quarter car park – this access will be from Cook Road and the eastern end of Lang Rd only (no access via Anzac Pde/Driver Ave). The event organiser will offer reimbursements for parking costs if conditions outlined in the online form are met.
