The annual Walk 4 Brain Cancer on 3 November 2019 is a community fundraising event that sees participants walk, run or jog 5km within Centennial Park to raise funds and awareness for the Cure for Brain Cancer Foundation.
The Walk 4 Brain Cancer event site will open at 8.30 am for a 9.30 am race start and conclude at 12.00 pm. It is located on Church Grounds in Centennial Park with a 2.5km course (that’s completed twice) within the Park.
The course will take in the jogging track west of Parkes Drive around to the southern Grand Drive Circuit back to Church Grounds. Site occupation starts at 5.30 am until approximately 3.00 pm on Sunday 3 November.
Although there are no closure associated with this event, vehicle parking will be limited around the southern end of Parkes Drive and Grand Drive south. It will also be a busy day with more than 1,000 participants expected.
