Centennial Parklands is conducting annual tree maintenance and pruning along Grand Drive.
These works ensure there is vehicle clearance to 4.5 metres and any dead branches are removed for public safety. The work is currently taking place in the section in front of Fernley Grounds near the children’s bike track, and will then move in a clockwise direction finishing near Randwick Gates.
The duration of the works is expected to be from Wednesday 24 October to Sunday 9 December 2018. This short term work will be mobile as Arborists move around Grand Drive and should advance several hundred metres per day weather permitting.
During this time some parking bays will be made unavailable to reserve space for equipment and traffic controllers, these bays will be clearly marked ‘Clearway’ with bollards.
Traffic control will be in place and will involve merging traffic into the bicycle lane around the mobile work site.
