Birdwatching

No matter what the season, birdwatchers (also known as twitchers) flock to Centennial Parklands to view the enormous range of bird species that may be found here.

The Parklands offers locals and visitors a unique opportunity to spot more than 120 species, all within minutes of Sydney's CBD.

The wide range of species seen in the Parklands' is the result of the varied range of landscapes and environments that are found in a relatively small area (eg. urban forest, wetlands, open plains, native and exotic plant species plantings).

Have you found a sick or injured bird?

If you find a sick or injured bird please do not handle or remove it from its habitat. Call the Centennial Park Rangers on (02) 9339 6699 during business hours, or 0412 718 611 after hours.

If you find a sick or injured bird in a location outside Centennial Parklands contact WIRES on 13 000 WIRES (1300 094 737).
