Roads & paths in Queens Park

The new shared cycleway running through Queens Park forms part of Sydney's Regional Cycle Route 23.

Constructed in 2007, the cycleway is part of a $625,000 improvement project for Queens Park, of which Waverley Council contributed $25,000.

The path runs from the University of NSW, Randwick to Bondi Junction and the works included:

  • repairs to an existing footpath

  • improved access and refurbishment of the existing amenities block

  • a new fence around the playground with an accessible entrance

  • construction of a shared pathway linking the northern side of the park to the southern side, forming part of Regional Cycle Route 23.

The improvements were designed to encourage a more diverse use of Queens Park and the shared pathway accommodates strollers, pedestrians, dog walkers and cyclists. The pathway provides increased accessibility, enabling more of our visitors to experience all that Queens Park has to offer.

This project was a major deliverable as part of the Trust's Queens Park Master Plan.
