COVID-19 Update

Update current as at 19 May 2020

Safeguarding the health and safety of our visitors and staff is core to what we do at Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands. We are closely monitoring and responding to Government health advice in this rapidly changing environment and putting in place measures to protect our community during these challenging times.

Our Botanic Gardens and Parklands continue to remain open to the public at this time, unless advised otherwise. However, we urge visitors to ensure they comply with all social distancing requirements in line with the latest NSW Health advice. Activities and events suspended across all locations:

  • The Ian Potter Children's WILD PLAY Garden at Centennial Park is closed.

  • No outdoor or indoor public events currently prohibited under NSW Government requirements will go ahead.

  • ​Some picnic sites and barbecues are now available. Please observe any signage on site or see our websites below for booking details.

  • School excursions will not go ahead, in line with NSW Education advice.

  • On-site education programs have been suspended.

  • Tours and community events will not go ahead.

  • All volunteer activities are suspended.

  • ​​Plant sales across the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands have been suspended.
