Banksia Way Playground Minor Upgrade

Project Purpose

To deliver a minor upgrade to the existing play space at Banksia Way to replace some of the dilapidated items and replace and enhance others as well as improve safety.   

Project Description

The former Banksia Way play space, designed for children aged 0 to 5 years, had reached the end of its current life and required minor upgrades to continue to meet the needs of families visiting Centennial Park. The new features installed at the playground included:

  • Additional two-seat swing set and new rubber resurfacing
  • New and extended perimeter barrier fencing to provide protection from the shared road and delineation from Banksia Way
  • Removal of existing gecko timber bench seat and replacement with a new water dragon U-bench 
  • Sandpit improvements including new timber duck furniture and a custom-designed cubby house.
