Car-free weekends during lockdown [Aug 2021]

Published on 11 Aug 2021

Centennial Park will close its roads and gates to vehicle traffic every weekend to increase opportunities for COVID-safe exercise as the lockdown continues.

Emergency vehicles, authorised contractors, site service vehicles and those with a Mobility Parking Scheme Permit will be able to access the park from the Jervois Avenue Gates.

Cycling is still permitted in the park and speed regulations should be always observed to ensure everyone is safe.

The gates will close at 5.30pm every Friday night and reopen at 6.30am on Monday morning.

Further information and updates on being COVID-safe in our Parklands can be found on our COVID page.

Please view our FAQs for further details.
