COVID-19: Centennial Park motor vehicle free zones until the 3 August 2020

Published on 3 Jun 2020
As public spaces continue to be used differently and to ensure safe physical distancing, Centennial Park will endeavour to create pedestrian friendly areas for the well-being of the local community.

Following motor vehicle free weekends, there will be a temporary motor vehicle free zone trial in the Park until the 3 August 2020 inclusive, with any extension to be determined.

Visitors to the Park should take note that motor vehicles will have access to some areas including Grand Drive. To assist in this transition and support public efforts to comply with NSW Public Health Orders, Dickens Drive West and Loch Avenue South will be closed to motor vehicles to provide more areas in the Park for children and families.

Controlled access to this area will be provided for emergency vehicles, authorised contractors and site service vehicles. For more information and Covid-19 updates across Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands see our website.
