Become a Bike Pro - Bike Riding Classes

Learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage for most kids and a life-long skill which promotes independence, social and health benefits. Bike the Park provides riders with the opportunity to take their riding to the next level.

With a focus on skill development and safety, your child will learn important skills including braking techniques, shoulder checks, avoiding hazards and hand signals. The workshop is engaging and fun. Riders will negotiate obstacles and challenges designed to support different skill and ability levels. The workshop provides a smooth transition from being able to ride a bike to be being able to ride a bike better and with confidence.

The skills and confidence gained from participating in Bike the Park will continue to enhance riders’ wellbeing well after the conclusion of the workshop.


General Information

Age: Open to independent (no training wheels) riders from 8 years of age
Times: 10.30 am - 1.30 pm
Meeting Point/Venue: The Greenhouse (meeting point), Grand Drive, Centennial Park
Price: $20 - $50

Morning Workshop (45 place) $50 Time 10am – 12pm
Supervised lunch option $20 Time 12pm – 1pm
Afternoon Workshop (45 places) $50 Time 1pm – 3pm

Special notes

What to bring:

  • Riders to bring their own working bicycle and approved helmet
  • Water bottle and small snack

What to wear:

  • Wear fully enclosed joggers,
  • Suitable riding attire (no singlets)
  • Sun cream & water bottle

Please note there is a maximum capacity of 45 children on each workshop. Riders will be broken into smaller groups of 15 when working with instructors. - please book early to avoid disappointment.
