Trains in Centennial Park?
It’s never been easier to get around Centennial Park on its popular seasonal car free days.
For the first time on Sunday 28 August, a trackless train will be operating in Centennial Park from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm picking up and dropping off Park visitors at various designated points.
The train will follow two separate circuits around historic Grand Drive. A round trip on each of the circuits will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes and will cost $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12.
Take the opportunity to leave the car at home and walk, cycle or catch public transport to the Park. Enjoy the absence of the noise and bustle of motorised traffic and take advantage of the trackless train to get to your favourite spot in the Park.
The trackless train will be operating as a trial however if it proves to be a popular attraction it may continue on future car free days.
Disabled access to Centennial Park is via Jervois Avenue Gates from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
