Trippas to Centennial Parklands to become a Sydney favourite
The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust is pleased to announce that the successful new licensee for the Centennial Parklands Restaurant is Trippas White Catering.
Steve Corbett, Director and Chief Executive of the Trust said, ‘We are very pleased that Trippas White will be bringing their wealth of experience and innovation to Centennial Parklands’.
‘They have built a strong reputation within the restaurant industry and we look forward to the team building upon the success of their venues at the Royal Botanic Gardens, The Art Gallery of New South Wales, The Mint and the National Gallery in Canberra here in the Parklands.’
Brien Trippas, Director of Trippas White, believes that this new partnership will bring a range of benefits to park visitors.
‘These world-class Parklands deserve kiosk and dining facilities that match their status within the Australian community. At Trippas White we’re committed to food and service excellence, and will be bringing a range of stylish food options to Centennial Park.’
‘It has amazed us the wide variety of individuals and groups that visit or use the Parklands on a regular basis. To reflect this, our new facility will be offering a wide range of food and beverage options to appeal to every budget.’
The change of licensee at the restaurant coincides with the refurbishment and upgrade of the facility to align with modern industry and community expectations. The new facility will incorporate a take-away kiosk, table service café and fine dining restaurant, and will be undertaken in response to the ever-increasing demands by a rapidly growing resident and visitor population.
Steve Corbett also took the opportunity to acknowledge the 20 years of service that the current licensee, Landmark Venues, has provided.
The refurbishment works will begin in early April and are expected to be completed in Autumn 2008.
‘During the refurbishment works, we will be operating a temporary café facility adjacent to the current restaurant to maintain continuity of take-away service,’ said Mr Trippas.
‘The temporary facility will provide organic coffee and quality food options and be priced similarly to the options currently available from the Centennial Parklands kiosk,’ he said.
