Roads and Paths

Grand Drive, Centennial ParkCentennial Park has an extensive network of roads, trails and tracks to explore.

Grand Drive – is the main thoroughfare of Centennial Park, it is a circular, tree-lined drive in the grand tradition of Victorian parks. The distance around Grand Drive by vehicle is 3.8 km, the walking path is 3.7 km and the horse track is 3.6 km.

Parkes Drive - is a tree-lined classic avenue, bordered with formal gardens, lawns and ponds.

Loch Avenue North - cutting North to South through the top section of Centennial Park, Loch Avenue North is a tree lined avenue offering a sweeping view over the Park.

Snake Bank - incorporates a track which is bordered by Busby’s Pond and lined with palm trees. This location has been used for variety of film shoots requiring a tropical setting.

Carrington Drive – lined with native trees above a seam of natural sandstone, Carrington Drive affords views south to Botany Bay.

Loch Avenue - cutting through the middle of Centennial Park (North to South), Loch Avenue takes you through a broad spectrum of landscapes from pine forests to sweeping vistas over the Park.

Musgrave Avenue - has postcard perfect backdrops over ponds and popular picnic areas.

Learners Cycleway 

Learners Cycleway in Centennial ParkMany a child has learnt to ride their first bike at Centennial Park’s Learners Cycleway.

This extremely popular surfaced loop roadway is a one-way track with plenty of space for children of all ages to ride their bikes in complete safety.

Reminders for parents 

Remember all kids must wear a cycle helmet on the Learners Cycleway and parents must not park in the Grand Drive cycle lane to drop their children and bikes off.

Co-located facilities

The Learners Cycleway precinct also features an amenities block, barbecue and children's playground, making this one of the most family-friendly spots in the Parklands.
