Formal Gardens
Once swamp, scrub and rocks, in 1888 Centennial Park was transformed into a grand Victorian park with formal gardens, ponds, statues and majestic avenues.
Several formal gardens are maintained today.
Column Garden
Column Garden is a formal flower garden with a Victorian feel surrounded by hedges, palm trees and ponds evoking an atmosphere of romance and beauty.
Rose Garden
Rose Garden is located in the centre of Centennial Park, next to the Column Garden. Both gardens are popular wedding sites.
Frog Hollow
Frog Hollow features large flower beds located between two avenues of palm trees, running along Parkes Drive and Dickens Drive.
