Amenities

Centennial Parklands has built five new public amenities as part of the Centennial Parklands Park Improvement Plan.

The new facilities are located at Federation Valley, Dickens Drive, McKay Sports Grounds, Centennial Square and north of Musgrave Pond. The former buildings at many of these sites have been demolished now that the new facilities are complete.

The new facilities are stylish, low-maintenance buildings which respect and complement the parkland settings. The design links two separate male and female buildings under one roof. A unique external communal space has been created between the two buildings for hand washing and viewing the landscape. The design also includes ecologically sustainable features: natural light and ventilation; natural and recycled materials; and a landscape bio-filter to treat grey water.
