Renovations unveiled at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre

Posted: 17 April 2018

The Centennial Parklands Sports Centre has been providing friendly, fun and professional services for over 15 years and is made up of 11 tennis courts, 10 hard-surface courts, and a highly successful all weather-field. The upgraded Sports Centre was officially unveiled by the Minister for Environment and Heritage, The Honourable Gabrielle Upton.

Renovations were made possible by the New South Wales Government and Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.  The relaunch of Sydney’s most utilised community sporting precinct represents more than 3 years of asset upgrades and over $3.5M of investment into the facility.

With over 180,000 visitors each year, the facilities and amenities at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre were in need of repair and upgrades. Upgrades, renovations and resurfacing to the precinct can be seen throughout the area and include projects such as:

  • 21 Courts were upgraded in the Community Sports Facilities
  • Sport Centre Asset Upgrades
  • 8 additional all-weather courts were created which can be configured into a full field which is certified by FIFA, the ARU and the NRL.
  • Environmentally friendly lighting upgrades
