The Parklands' Education team offer professional development and training to enable individuals and organisations to learn the skills, knowledge and attitudes to connect children in their own settings.
Our experienced trainers are subject matter experts in nature education and have received nationally and internationally recognised training in Forest Schools, Environmental Education, Science Communication and hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The Parklands Education team can deliver customised training programs for your groups or organisation. Training can take place in our outdoor classroom or at your local teaching site.
BOSTES Accredited Training for Proficient Teachers
The Parklands has been endorsed to deliver two courses for NSW Proficient Teachers Accreditation, The programs include: Practical Skills for Outdoor Learning and Geography Outdoors. These sessions are delivered via experiential activities and aim to assist teachers to understand the teaching principals and pedagogy of outdoor learning in relation to the National Curriculum. . Centennial Parklands will be hosting nature play training for educators in the children’s services sector in partnership with Network of Community Activities. These 3 hour programs cover a variety of topics including nature games and firecraft.

Early Years Bush Connections
Centennial Parklands and TAFE NSW Sydney Institute partner to teach the Early Years Bush Connections course in Sydney.The course is aimed at early childhood educators and Children's Services professionals looking to gain skills in Nature Pedagogy. This course won the 2013 Green Gown Skills for Sustainability Award.
