The Discovery Centre

Education_Precinct_500w

Centennial Parklands Discovery Centre - sustainability in action!

This multi-purpose precinct has the ability to cater for schools, community group and adult education usage, team building activities and family gatherings. The Discovery Centre is available to lease by service providers.

The Discovery Centre has the principles of 'sustainability' and 'recycling' at its core, in fact:

  • the Precinct itself is located on the site of an old tip;
  • the decking around the The Discovery Centre is made from recycled milk bottles and
  • the electricity is generated via solar panels

Come inside and discover...

  • Find the The Discovery Centre - includes a map of where the precinct is located in Centennial Park
  • The Discovery Centre - an all-weather multi-function classroom and community-use space
  • The Community Nursery - a fully-operational plant propagation facility for the use of volunteers, students and community groups
  • The Bush Tucker Garden - display of plants that were traditionally used for food and medicine
