Education and learning at Sydney’s biggest outdoor classroom – book your 2013 excursion now!
Centennial Parklands deliver a variety of exciting education excursions and programs that are educator-led, outcomes-driven and encourage hands-on learning to give children, young people and adults an opportunity to connect with nature and their local environment.
As Sydney's biggest outdoor classroom, Centennial Park has 189 hectares of open space, ecologically diverse landscapes (including wetlands, grasslands and woodlands) alongside pockets of the endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub.
The Parklands is an historically important landscape with a rich pre-colonial history, as well as being the birthplace of modern Australia as the venue for the inauguration of the Federation of Australia.
