Nesting swans at Moore Park

Posted: 13 August 2010

Park visitors intending to visit Moore Park please be aware of nesting swans on the eastern side of Kippax Lake, Moore Park.

The swans have a number of eggs that they are protecting.

While we have put a temporary fence up to make visitors aware of the nest, please do not approach the site (especially keep children and dogs away) as the male swan can become protective of the nest and may attack if he considers you a threat.

Thank you for your assistance in looking after our residents.

Swans nesting - please do not approach them.
