World Youth Day in Centennial Park

World Youth Day has now come and gone, with Centennial Park playing a support role to the main venue - Randwick Racecourse.
Centennial Park provided an overflow site for the Evening Vigil (Saturday evening) and then a friendly and relaxed alternate venue to watch the Final Mass (Sunday morning).
The Trust would like to thank all visitors and pilgrims who chose Centennial Park - with its big screen link-up - to enjoy these events.
The following images, taken by event staff on the day, provide an insight into the relaxed surrounds that patrons enjoyed at the Final Mass on Sunday 20 July 2008.
