Queens Park Playground upgrade underway

The Centennial Park & Moore Park Trust (Trust) has commenced Stage Two of the Queens Park Playground upgrade. This $170,000 project was flagged in the Queens Park Master Plan, and continues the Trust's commitment to providing high quality facilities and amenities for the community in Queens Park.

The main features of this project include:
- Increased safe play area
- New and upgraded equipment
- Installation of shade structures
- Tree planting and landscaping
The work will take approximately eight weeks, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed in May 2008.
The Trust's contractors on this project, The Gardenmakers, will erect safety fencing around the playground while this important work is undertaken. The Trust would appreciate park visitors cooperation during this time by not entering the worksite during this period.
