Call for applicants - Community Consultative Committee

17 November 2008

Call for Nominations for Centennial Parklands' Community Consultative Committee

The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust has a Community Consultative Committee to provide an opportunity for community involvement in advising the Trust. The Committee’s role is similar to a ‘customer council’ where a broad range of community interests are represented.

Among other things, Committee members provide advice on visitor services policy and prospective new services, and assist in the development and evaluation of service standards.

Committee members must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Centennial Parklands.  In addition, they must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate with community groups and individuals that have an interest in Centennial Parklands. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to Centennial Parkland’s diversity of values and stakeholder views.

Nominations are sought from suitable to fill several vacancies on the Committee. Indigenous people with a recognised affinity with Centennial Parklands are encouraged to apply.
