Giles Edmonds, MA (Cantab), MSc, Dip Comm
Giles was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in January 2010. Giles has been living close to Centennial Park for the last 25 years. The variety of parkland facilities have been an important part of his and his family's life, including pushing swings and feeding the ducks when his children were younger, jogging, horse riding, daily dog walking, watching school sport, refereeing schools rugby matches, picnicing with friends, now driving his son to and from Moore Park Golf, and watching the Moonlight Cinema.
Giles is particularly interested in ensuring that the parklands continue to provide access to a wide variety of the community and remain financially strong so that all users, both existing and future generations, can continue to share the great experiences the parklands have to offer. Giles is a senior executive in the finance industry.

Vicki Etherington OAM
Vicki is a long term resident of the region, having been a founding member of the Eastern Suburbs Dog Training Club (celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012). Vicki's passion for dogs has been lifelong, bringing her into contact with the Parklands on an almost daily basis. She is also on a committee for animal advisory in local government, and on the Board of Dogs NSW. Her associations with the Parklands also extend to a range of sporting activities, including golf and tennis.
Vicki received an OAM in 2010 for her work in the community, undertakes public speaking roles and operates her own professional dog obedience busines. She is a keen advocate for the Parklands and is keen to work towards the protection of the natural environment and the co-existence of activities within the Parklands.
Andrew Glover
Andrew has had a long professional and personal association with Centennial Parklands. He works in the pest management and land management sector, and has been involved in the oversight and management of disease outbreaks, such as avian flu and equine influenza. He has a strong regulatory background and led a program that resulted in the eradication of rabbits from Centennial Park.
Andrew lives on the outskirts of south-western Sydney and looks forward to providing input and advice from his professional expertise and from a resident and park user outside of the immediate catchment area around the Parklands.
Melinda Hayton, BA (Hons)
Melinda was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in February 2010. She has lived in Paddington for around 15 years and uses the Parklands for daily walking, dog walking, golf, picnics, coffee, and lunch. She has been involved in community work since she was 16 and has extensive experience, through her own business, in market research across Australia and Asia and social research and community development in Australia. She has consulted to many NGOs and also been involved in the tourism industry. Melinda has previously been on the committee of the Paddington Society and a board director of various charities.
She looks forward to contributing to the continued community participation in the ongoing development of these fantastic facilities by the broad range of current and future users of the Parklands.
Rosemary Kingsford, B Sc,Dip Ed
Rosemary is a life -long resident of Randwick Municipality and has always loved visiting Centennial Park for social and recreational use. She enjoys using the many facilities that the Parklands offer; it has played a special role in many family celebrations. She loves to walk in the park and feels it offers a peaceful and calming environment to weary Sydney siders, with its greenspace and wetlands supporting a wide range of biodiversity.
Rosemary has worked at the University of NSW as a lecturer in Biology and Physiology and currently teaches at the Hospital School within Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. She has experience in representing community groups and was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in January 2010.
Lise Maddocks
Lise was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in February 2012. She has lived in near Centennial Parklands for over 15 years, and regualrly uses many of the sports and community facilities available. Lise has a background in environmental planning, community consultation and as a policy lawyer.
She is a keen walker and cyclist, and has numerous links in the community through junior sport, the Girl Guides Association and various schools associations. Lise is keen to bring her professional experiences to the Community Consultative Committee to provide insights and awareness, as well as adding value to the Committee's deliberations.
Bruce Morrow BE, M Eng Sci, MBA, Grad Dip Fin
Bruce was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in January 2009. He is a long time resident of Bondi Junction. Currently, he is a member of Waverley Council's Bondi Junction Forum and is a past member of the Bondi Junction Precinct Committee.
As a local, he is frequently in the park dog-walking, cycling, watching events or just enjoying its environment. His early career was as a civil engineer on large infrastructure projects. He then went on to be a senior executive in business services and IT companies, and now consults in the areas of business development, policy and infrastructure.
Lucy Pryor
Lucy was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in February 2011. Lucy is a senior financial service executive providing strategic consulting to the wealth management industry and prior to this held senior roles within the industry. Lucy also serves as a Non-Executive Director on various commercial and not for profit Boards and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She lives right near the Parklands and has done for over 35 years. She has been a regular visitor since childhood and the Parklands have played a significant role in her day to day life living in the area – spending time with family, dog training and walking, meeting up with friends, dining, running, cycling, Moonlight Cinema, volunteering and even sleeping out for charity.
Lucy is passionate about optimising community and corporate enjoyment of the parklands whether it be for health, fitness, education, entertainment, the arts or simply pure recreation and relaxation…whilst ensuring the sustainable use and preservation of the Parklands as a precious, historic Australian landmark.
Mike Schapiro
Mike was appointed to the Community Consultative Committee in February 2011. He is a practising Management Consultant. Prior to this he was a Director of Corporate and Consumer Affairs for a major multinational company.
As he no longer works full time, he is able to play a more active role in the community, and servers on the committee of two other community based organisations. He has also worked on projects with the Nature Conservation Council of NSW.
Living in Randwick North he and his family’s association with Centennial Park extends over a decade. He is also a Friend of the Park. Mike has a great interest in conservation and climate change, and because of this sees, as a major challenge, the need to ensure the present and future sustainability of the Centennial Park amenities and activities.
Mike is also an active Centennial Park volunteer.
