Cycling

Cycling has a long history in Centennial ParkCycling is a great way to get to and around Centennial Parklands. It is good for your health and for the environment.

Centennial Park's Grand Drive incorporates a 3.8 kilometre cycling lane ideal for all levels - even those who have not ridden a bike for a while.

You must wear a cycle helmet in Centennial Parklands (you can hire safety equipment from the businesses below).

For the safety of all park visitors, cyclist should be aware of the regulations which apply to cycling in Centennial Parklands, and always remember that the 30km/h speed limit in Centennial Park is for cars and bikes.

Bike hire

You can hire bikes in Centennial Park on the corner of Hamilton and Grand Drives or from businesses located near the Parklands.

Pedal Cars

Three-wheel pedal cars are not allowed in Centennial Park. Four-wheel pedal cars are permitted.

  • Car Free Days are held in Centennial Parklands on the last Sunday of every season. These days are great opportunities for cyclists.
  • Centennial Parklands is working to improve pedestrian and cycle linkages. Please refer to the Transport, Access and Parking Plan for details.
