Event Organisers

- providing detailed information and guidelines for event organisers

Centennial Parklands is a popular choice for many outdoor events and every year the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust (Trust) receives many event proposals.

To ensure a smooth application process the following information has been provided for prospective event organisers.

Application forms and guidelines

All applicants should download our new interactive Special Event Proposal Form under the 'Event and Venue Space Hire' section on our Bookings page. This is an editable PDF form.

In addition, applicants need to visit our Event Organiser's Toolkit for other planning documents and requirements.

Application Process

For your proposal to be considered, the Special Event Proposal Form must be completed and submitted to the Trust. The proposal is then assessed by an internal Assessment Committee and approval may be granted.

This process can take up to one month to seek approval, so it is recommended that you submit your proposal as soon as possible.

Fees and charges

The Trust does not have a standard table of fees for event and venue hire due to the variable nature and extent of event applications that it receives.

Event fees are structured based on the information provided within the Special Event Proposal Form including such criteria as:

  • the nature of the event
  • the infrastructure required
  • the duration of the event
  • the number of people anticipated to attend

Applicants are welcome to visit the Parklands as part of the process of completing your Special Event Proposal Form to identify preferred venue spaces for your proposed event.

To assist your orientation and understanding of the Parklands, our map pages will help in this process. These maps are both interactive and PDF downloadable maps.

The Trust also requires applicants to be familiar with the specific Regulations covering the Parklands which will assist your planning.

Potential outdoor event spaces

In the navigation column of the left you will find information on a number of outdoor locations available for hire in both Centennial Park and Moore Park.

Additionally, you should be aware of the many other venues located within Centennial Parklands that are managed by licensed operators. For information and contact details for these venues please click on the particular link: Centennial Park Dining (Restaurant | Cafe | Kiosk), Hordern Pavilion, Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park Golf House and the Entertainment Quarter.

Event Organiser's Toolkit

To assist event organisers, we have put a comprehensive Toolkit which contains detailed information on what planning and information is required.
