Community Consultative Committee
The Community Consultative Committee (CCC) is an advisory body whose role is to represent a broad range of community interests to the Centennial Park & Moore Park Trust.
It is instrumental in providing a forum for communication, input and relationship building between the Trust and the Parklands' many constituencies.
The CCC is a requirement of the Trust's legislation.
The role of the CCC is to:
- advise and assist the Trust in the development and review of its plans and policies;
- monitor and evaluate the Trust's performance;
- advise the Trust on possible new or modified services and facilities; and
- deal with everything from maintenance priorities to tree planting and conservation management plans.
There are currently seven CCC Members.
Focus for 2008
At the first meeting of each calendar year, the CCC establish their focus and priorities for the coming year. In 2008 the CCC has committed to strengthening the ties between the community and the Trust particularly in regard to:
- management of major events;
- the Centennial Parklands Restaurant refurbishment;
- pedestrian access to the Parklands;
- road safety within the Parklands; and
- feedback from the Triennial Visitor Survey.
