Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands
Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands is a new entity that has been established under the Office of Environment and Heritage to deliver a sustainable and truly world leading botanic gardens and parklands for Sydney’s harbour-side to mountain-top.
It builds on both three years of industry-leading work at Centennial Parklands and recommendations from the International Peer Review of the botanic gardens in 2012, in consultation with Trustees and staff across both organisations.
The new entity creates the ability to pool together capabilities to maintain, improve and provide outstanding science, horticultural, educational, cultural and recreational offerings to our customers and stakeholders.
A nationwide recruitment process was undertaken to deliver a high-performing executive team, under Executive Director, Kim Ellis, to deliver on the strategic objectives of the new integrated organisation.
